Farewell (and some jobs)

Dear MIEPP Students,

The time has come at last. After looking after the MIEPP for 6 long years I am leaving the JGU behind this week and will take wing in search of new shores and challenges.
Fear not though. While I am sure that you can live very well without my feeble attempts at witty newsletters which sometimes turn out overly long and rambling, as well as my occasional help in this matter or that, I will nonetheless leave you in some very capable hands. A fellow MIEPP Student - whom I am sure many of you know - will pick up the mantle of former MIEPP student turned Program Manager. I am certain that she will do a more than splendid job and be a tremendous asset to the MIEPP.
I must say that even though the last two years were rather tumultuous and unusual, it has been an absolute honor and pleasure being part of the MIEPP. Getting to know many of you guys and maybe doing my small part in making this program what it is was very special and dear to me.
Alas, all good things must come to an end and change is only part of life. I also do not want to bore you unnecessarily and sometimes too many words can cloud up an occasion.
Therefore, I will leave you with the words of a dear famous fictional character perfectly fitting the occasion:
“I regret to announce that this is the end. I am going. I am leaving now. Good-Bye!”
