MIEPP Welcome Event, FORTHEM and PBS courses, Jobs

Dear MIEPP students,
I hope this email finds you well and that you are already looking forward to the start of the new semester.
Before you receive detailed information about this semester's course offerings later this week, you will get some information about events and additional courses today. As always, you will also find job announcements at the end of the newsletter.
MIEPP Welcome Event
We would like to invite all MIEPP students to join the Welcome Event, which will take place on October 23rd, 2023, at 5:00pm in the “Kasematte” of the ReWi I building (downstairs). The Welcome Event is an informal get-together that offers the opportunity to meet both new and senior students. You are warmly invited to attend.
Additional qualification opportunities by the JGU
In addition to the face-to-face German courses offered by the ISSK, there is also an online German course (B2.1 level) offered by the university alliance FORTHEM. Registration is still possible up to 27.10.2023. Further details can be found in the attachment.
The Mental Health Services of JGU offer various courses next semester where you can train and deepen skills such as time management, stress management or social skills. (unfortunately, they are all in German).

Wanted: Student Assistant for the MIEPP Team.
The MIEPP team is looking for a student assistant to support program directors Prof. Harms and Prof. Schunk in various matters (see the attached job ad). This is an attractive position requiring not only organizational skills, but also creativity and enthusiasm. The successful candidate would start working on December 1, 2023, and the deadline for applications is November 10, 2023.
