Seminar update winter term, political science course

Von: FB 03 - Studienbüro

Dear MIEPP students,

I hope you are having a nice summer break or can use the current time to prepare for the second round of exams.
Today I have another update on the seminars in the upcoming semester and the announcement of a political science course for you.

Seminars winter term 2022/23 – extra seminar by Prof. van Ewijk

On short notice, I have been informed that there will be an additional seminar "A Life Course Perspective on Health" offered by Prof. van Ewijk in the winter term 2022/23. It is a seminar in Statistics and Econometrics and counts for both specializations (Int. Economics / Public Policy). Please find attached the updated seminar booklet, including the seminar description of the new seminar.

What you should do now:
If you have not sent your seminar registration e-mail yet, you can now rank a total of 7 seminars (highest preference 1, lowest preference 7).
If you have already sent your registration e-mail, but Prof. van Ewijk's seminar is now among your top 3 seminars, I would ask you to send me an updated ranking of your seminars. Subject: "Updated seminar preferences - van Ewijk".
If you have already sent your registration e-mail and you rank Prof. van Ewijk's seminar in 4th place or below, you do not need to take further action.

All registration e-mails should be sent to MIEPP AT uni-mainz.de by 18.09.2022.

I am sorry for any extra work may caused.

Political Science Course (winter term 2022/23)

There is a political science course “The politics of European Integration” offered by the Faculty 02 (course no. 02.129.104) which is also open for MIEPP students. However, there are only 10 spots available for you guys. If you want to take this course, please send me an e-mail by 25.09.2022 in which you tell me your name and your matriculation number. I will make a list and hand it over to the Study office of the political science programs where the registration is done.

If less than ten students are interested, I will register all of you to the course. If there are more than 10 interested participants, the places will be drawn in a lottery.
Please only sign up, if you are absolutely sure you want to take this course. It would be a shame if someone gets a spot and then goes to the lecture once and decides it is not interesting enough while someone really interested does not get a chance at all.

Sincerely,
Daniela Maier
