Summer vacation, illness during exams, jobs

Dear MIEPP students,
I am leaving for summer vacation soon. Therefore, there will be no office hours from 03.08. to 13.08.
The next office hours will be on August 16. If you have urgent issues, you can of course contact my colleagues at the
study office (studienbuero-fb03 AT uni-mainz.de).
Rules in case of illness during exams
I would also like to use this newsletter to reiterate the rules in case of illness during exams. In general, the Study office needs the original medical certificate at latest three working days after the examination.
Exception: Should you fall sick with Corona, you can send us your positive test result from a test center or a doctor's note via e-mail. If you are unsure about the rules, please contact the study office immediately when you fall sick. This way we can make sure you receive all the information and meet the reporting deadlines.
If you withdraw from the same exam the second or third time, the Study office needs a qualified doctor's note which states your symptoms. We do not need the exact diagnosis but we need information on the symptoms that prevented you from taking the exam. The study office also provides a form for sick notes in the download center (https://studienbuero.rewi.uni-mainz.de/downloads/?folder=WiWi). The document is called "Formular_Attest_Corona_UPDATE_2022-05-31.pdf".
