Dear MIEPP Students,

This newsletter reaches you all amid a very confusing time. One where I will try to support you as well as I might so that together we can rise and overcome this novel challenge: Face-to-face lectures and what shapes up to be an almost normal semester. In all seriousness, I hope you are as thrilled as we are (the administration and I believe the faculty also) to have everyone back on campus and to start lectures on Monday. Before we get into this semester though, I have some short organizational pointers for you:

• Intro Presentation is now on the website
• Extended course registration (as always)
• One time course Investment banking on international financial markets
• Office hours on Tuesday (but cancelled on Thursday)

First of all, welcome to all the new first semester students on campus. Today I finally uploaded the introduction presentation, so if any of you need to look something up you can finally do so.

As every semester, we will extend the course registration period until the end of the exam registration period. This means that you have until January to register and deregister your courses.

With that in mind I want to point out the course “Investment banking on international financial markets” which is available to you as a one-time opportunity. We have a guest lecture for the upcoming semester, and this is the only time this course will be available.

Finally, I apologize for the complicated and at times chaotic state of my office hours. In the coming week, the office hours on Thursday will be cancelled, but I will be making up for it on Tuesday from 12:00-13:30. After this, things will hopefully stabilize. I am also holding office hours again on campus in the next weeks.

That is all from me. I wish you all a truly magical start to your semester, enjoy yourself, learn something and most importantly of all, don’t get overwhelmed by all the people!
