Dear MIEPP Students,

After it has been quiet for a good while from me, I have a real banger for you today (that simply means I have lots of ground to cover). I hope all of you are healthy and are getting along with the new format of this semester. Prepare yourself mentally for a huge amount of text because this newsletter will have information on:

• MIEPP Student Assistant

First and foremost, the current student assistant for the MIEPP program is leaving us soon and of course we are looking for a replacement. The details are attached to this email but just let me say that as a MIEPP student assistant you can not only help the program run more smoothly and help out the next MIEPP generations but you will also be able to improve the MIEPP further. If you are interested on earning some money on the side and help the program run smoothly, this job is exactly for you.

Secondly, as you might have noticed, things are a bit different this semester. Considering we also do not yet know what the Covid-19 situation will be in July, the professors were given a large amount of leeway to change the kind of exam they want you to take this semester. I have comprised a list of all courses that have other exam forms compared to before. All non-listed courses will still employ the form of a normal exam, even though at this point the possibility that there might be take home exams for all of those courses is something that has to be kept in mind. The changed exams are:

As we usually do and also so that you can still evaluate your choice of course after you have seen the kind of exams you will have to take, the course registration is possible again and should be open until the end of the exam registration period. Thus, you are again free to switch between courses.

Now for all of you still reading, things are about to get even more boring but please bear with me, it offers you large amount of impact on the MIEPP. Every few years the central administration does an accreditation process for each program offered at this university and it is our time once again. Now you might think this has nothing to do with you but as part of the accreditation process, students of the programs are also asked about the things going well and also not so well. Your comments in this regard carry a huge weight. The administration usually takes them very seriously and also has the power to force change onto the MIEPP from the outside. I have attached the call for feedback to this email. I am aware that the deadline is past, but they had so little feedback that they are desperately looking for more. In short, if you feel like you want to make some changes (or if you feel like everything is going well) this is your chance to make an impact on the program.

Finally, I have a job opening (details attached to this email for you).

I apologize for this wall of text, but I believe there actually were a lot of important thigs to let you know about. Hopefully, we can have some more fun emails in more fun times in the future.
