I hope you are all healthy, not stir crazy and super excited for this novelty of summer semester.

This week the newsletter will be a bit more technical, so bear with me:

• The necessity to sign up for classes
• Sing up for classes extended to April 30
• Online German Courses

First and foremost, class registration. As this semester will be unlike any semester seen before at the JGU (and probably lots of other places too) it is paramount that you register for your classes before they start. Most (if not all) classes will be online classes and in order to get the course material to you and also communicate with you, you have to be registered for the classes. Again, it is paramount, that you register for your classes as soon as possible.

This does not mean that you will be completely inflexible. The third course registration period is extended until April 30 (and as per usual, we will probably keep class registration open after that). However, this time you cannot simply not register for some classes until later in the semester, you will have to register in order to be able to access course work and lectures.

Furthermore, the German courses are also moved online, a way to sign up is attached to this email.

Now you might rightfully wonder what courses will look like and where to get that information. To that I say (as so many times lately): please be patient for a bit longer. You will receive another newsletter later this week with more information on courses.

I hope that while your experience of studying will inevitably not be the same as last semester, we will be able to make the best of this situation and make the coming semester as rewarding and smooth as possible for all of you.
